Hello Dear Family,
I would like to wish all of you & your Families a blessed Christmas /Joyeux Noel !
Charlie Brown: Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?
Linus Van Pelt: Sure, Charlie Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about.
Linus Van Pelt: Lights, please.
Linus Van Pelt: "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were so afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you, born this day in the City of David, a Savior, which is, Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'" [Linus picks up his blanket and walks back towards Charlie Brown]
Linus Van Pelt: That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.
This past Month has been such a whirlwind of events for me. please forgive my tardiness!
Thank you all for understanding the crazy email situation I have been through. For those of you who don’t know what happened, my personal email account was HACKED into & therefore much of what I do has been compromised…Any way I never went to Scotland, nor was I robbed & NO I don’t need you to send money via wire, as an email sent to my entire address book implied. BE VERY CAREFUL, This can be dangerous; luckily I have FRAUD BUSTERS ON MY SIDE… (JOKING) Well, the sale of my home finally went thru, although I really thought was not going to happen!!! On November 6th I became a homeowner once again & although there has been a tremendous amount of work that Dan & I have done so far, I really love it!!!There are so many simple pleasures that bring me great joy, like my Sister’s Ida & Jo-Anne coming to my rescue to help paint & get things organized, watching the birds find & enjoy my new birdfeeders given to my from Ida, listening to the soft gentle tunes coming from a beautiful chime that was given to me from Jo-Anne. Admiring Dan’s handy work in hooking our new washer & dryer up not once but twice!!! & also his Love & patience throughout this whole ordeal for the past several months is AWESOME! THANK YOU!
This leads me right into…

"The Responders"
I received a Face Book note from Emily Pierre Samson
"just shared your blog post with my mom and dad. you do such a nice job! thank you!!"
I then sent the following email to Hugues Fameree from Belgium (we are still trying to figure out the connecting branch to his Family Ours)
Hello Hugues,
I hope you are well & you had a beautiful summer.
I think I have more information regarding 2 more generations of your family!
I will past it in this email.
It appears as though Pierre's Father was Jean Henri (born in 1754)
Jean Henri's Father was Henri (born in 1712).
I have copied Joseph Fameree from Schaltin in hopes he can connect his family branch to yours.
Now the big challenge is how do your Family branch tie with Mine back to Nichola Famre(as written in old records) born in 1704???
Please let me know if this helps you.
Hugues Response was
Hello Jean,Wonderful! These are definitely 2 new layers in the family tree. I think that there some people here in the region are working on encoding paper registers on specialized webs. So, month after month, we will get the opportunity to discover additional information and perhaps the missing link.Best regards, Hugues
Hugues added
Hello Jean, It's me again. A striking find, I've had on the basis of your information, is that Schaltin appears still to be the root base of my branch.
Best regards, Hugues
I then replied
The information I have regarding my branch is that the oldest person is Nichola born around 1704 in the Dept of Ourth or near the Ourth River, is this area close to Schaltin?
I truly believe we have to be close, Henri & Nichola are only 8 years apart (Could they be brothers? cousins?) much more investigating to be done!!!
Keep in touch. Sincerely, Jeanne
Hugues wrote
The Ourthe department is an administrative division of our region when it was part of France, some centuries ago. Today, it corresponds about to the County of Liège, but was a little bit smaller than this County. Schaltin wasn't on that territory. This village is at about at 25 miles of the closest part of the river Ourthe and at 30 miles of Longueville. Today I would say it isn’t that far, but 300 years ago I suspect it was quite a significant distance. You told me once that there was a Mathieu Famerée at the eight generation preceding Joseph: I wouldn't be much surprised if we find in a next step that he was the father of the Henri 1712, but it is purely speculative.Best regards, Hugues
I replied
Thanks for all this information.
Yes, I agree that the answer to our connection lies with Mathieu.
I will continue monitoring the Geneanet site & others for more clues.
Kind regards, Jeanne
I then received the following from another Fameree member from Schaltin Belgium, Joseph Fameree , (we have not yet connected our branches either)
In French
Cordialement,Joseph FAMEREE
In English
Hello dear family,Schaltin is located in the province of Namur, 20 kms to the Ourthe (Nettinne) Longueville is more or less 40 km in the province of Liege.I intend to go there to check if there are still family Fameree.Best regards,
Next I received an add on email from Amy Pierre Brownson,
Regarding the WOW story from last month
Jean,I am sorry that I haven't gotten back to you with your questions. My daughter Theresa was married this past weekend so I was busy working on preparations and such.
THE IDEA FOR WOW STARTED AT A BRIDAL SHOWER FOR MY SISTER-IN LAW, NICOLE PIERRE, AT MY HOUSE WHEN WE WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW WOMEN SHOULD HAVE A WEEKEND OR SOMETHING THAT WAS AN ABSOLUTE MUST TO ATTEND, JUST LIKE MEN HAVE DEER HUNTING. MY SISTER LAURIE SAID SHE WOULD INVITE ANYONE WHO WANTED TO STAY AT HER PLACE FOR A WEEKEND THAT NEXT FALL. SOMEHOW WE DUBBED IN W.O.W. THAT YEAR ABOUT 18 AUNTS, COUSINS AND COUSINS KIDS GOT TOGETHER IN PEWAUKEE. WE ARE ALL THE RELATIVES/DESENDANTS OF MARY FAMEREE PIERRE.
AFTER THAT FIRST ONE, I SAID I WOULD PLAN THE NEXT ONE. THAT ONE WAS AT CAMP TEKAWITHA NEAR SHAWANO. SINCE THEN EACH YEAR OR SOMETIMES EVERY OTHER YEAR A DIFFERENT COUSIN IS IN CHARGE OF PLANNING THE WEEKEND. SOMEONE JUST VOLUNTEERS TO DO IT. WE HAVE HAD THE WEEKEND IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND WISCONSIN: GREEN LAKE, SHEOYGAN, DOOR COUNTY, ETC...
THERE IS NO ONE MAIN DRIVER WE JUST ALL PITCH IN TO MAKE IT HAPPEN ONCE THE LOCATION IS DECIDED. LIKE SHARING IN THE MAKING OF FOOD AND CAR POOLING, ETC... WOW IS USUALLY THE LAST WEEKEND IN SEPTEMBER.
IT IS A GREAT WAY TO KEEP OUR FAMILY CONNECTED. I LOVE HOW OUR CHILDREN, MANY YOUNG WOMEN, WANT TO COME AND LOOK FORWARD TO IT YEARLY. I LIKE HOW WE CAN SHARE OUR FAMILY STORIES ABOUT GROWING UP WITH THEM AND HOW THE NEWLY MARRIEDS CAN GIVE SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO THE YOUNGER ONES IN COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL. WE GO TO MASS TOGETHER. SHARING FAITH WITH FAMILY IS A HIGHLIGHT FOR ME.
The next email is from Sylvie Rigot in Belgium
Hello Jean,I am happy that you are safe. I was very troubled after "your” message from Scotland. I found something not very clear and I was very happy when I received Richard's message about the hacker.I am sorry that you have had so many problems with your moving and the searching of a home. We are so busy, here in my home, with the works in our house that I don’t have time to send you pictures of our family but I will try to do that. I wish you the best things for Thanksgiving.Friendly yours, Sylvie, from Belgium
May you always have love to share, Health to spare & Friends that care!
Merry Christmas /Joyeux Noel
God Bless Everyone!!!
Sincerely, Jeanne
