Well dear family here we are another month has passed & I am once again tardy in my posting of our newsletter…
I apologize to all!I have been a busy, busy homeowner!!!Since our last posting much has transpired. I spent my Christmas day with Cousin Richard at his home, which is about an hour drive from my house.

Rachel and Adele were out of town; however before Rachel left she prepared a feast!

Richard his musical partner Carrie & I enjoyed it immensely.

Then for the new years weekend I drove home to be with my Sisters & the Family to celebrate Christmas a week late with the Fameree’s.

We decided to do what we called a “Round Robin” with a twist… Each home we stopped at had a country theme-My Niece Jacky & her Fiancé Adam was our 1st stopTheir Country was Germany & she served Bratwurst, Wieners & Sour Kraut as well as German Chocolate Cake.Our next stop was my Niece Leah’s her Country was Mexico & she had Guacamole & Tortilla Chips. We also had a sock exchange at her apartment & we all loved our new socks!Then off to my Niece’s Amanda & Allison’s & their Country was Australia…They served 3 different summery salads & we also had Fruit punch, This was an extremely hard Country to have & Amanda & Allison get an A (in my book) for their effort.Then off to Niece Jennifer’s, her country was Africa & it was decided to have our annual White Elephant exchange here (White Elephant exchange is basically you take something you have around your house or a re-gift & wrap it, then we pick numbers to decide who goes 1st, the 1st person picks from the pile of gifts, the 2nd person can steal the 1st persons gift or choose a new gift) we always have tons of fun and lots of laughs.

Then Sister Jo-Anne & I treated all to a 2 horse open sleigh ride!It was a beautiful star filled SUB ZERO Evening, we all made the best of the cold & sang carols, sentimental Family songs & laughed until the tears froze on our chapped cheeks.

Thank goodness for the chemical hand warmers I purchased before the trip… We were supposed to have a bon fire after the ride, but on a unanimous decision we decided to head on to Sister Jo-Anne’s house for the last leg of our tour &

of course the Final Country was BELGIUM.

Sister Mary made a big kettle of our traditional Chicken Booyah & she also made a scrumptious Torte!

Sister Ida & I made another traditional Belgian dish our beloved Galettes (Waffles soaked in Warm milk with Sugar & Cinnamon). We then gave our great nieces Christmas gifts from My Sisters & me. That was great fun to see the happy faces of the young kids…
